'From Olympic gold to low running'

Eremitus Professor Dirk De Clercq has 35 years of research experience in sports biomechanics, with a major scientific output in the biomechanics of distance running. He is an internationally recognized expert in running biomechanics.

Dirk will talk about topics such as the research and coaching of Tia Hellebaut on her way to gold at the 2008 Olympics and low running: the recreational runner who may run 'ugly' but follows what the body experiences as efficient and healthy.
